San Diego Pride's LGBTQ+ Inclusivity 90-minute workshop will provide an overview of:
- Basic terminology and the current cultural landscape for LGBTQ+ people
- A brief history of the LGBTQ+ community
- Basic principles and practices of allyship
- A connection to JFS's 6 Guiding Values
- Up-to-date research focusing on the community services best practices and the LGBTQ+ folks in the diverse communities served by JFS
This learning opportunity will provide you with a foundation and education to ensure JFS volunteers are inclusive of the LGBTQ+ community. The training will focus on both how this can be achieved within our organization as we work with each other and the individuals and communities we serve.
