Volunteer: On the Go, Rides & Smiles Driver

About the Program:

On the Go (OTG) offers one-way trips to older adults who no longer drive. Being an OTG driver is very flexible and you can provide rides at convenient times for your schedule.  Mileage reimbursement is available to volunteers. During these one-way rides, volunteers donate their time and energy while infusing dignity and independence into the lives of these older adults who value connection to the community. Rides are offered seven days a week from 7:00am to 7:00pm. Using our online scheduling system, you can choose rides that are in your neighborhood and on the way to somewhere you're already heading.  Riders are always guaranteed a ride home by another volunteer or staff member, so you can drop them off and head on your way!  Overall, On the Go is more than just a ride: it is about fueling a sense of connection, independence, and mobility that defines aging well.
