Who We Are
What We Do
PROVIDE DIAPERS TO NEW PARENTS
Diaper Distribution
Our Diaper Distribution Volunteers support families in our community by keeping babies happy and healthy! This volunteer role keeps the diaper inventory organized and prepares the correct sizes and quantities of diapers for each family to pick up weekly. By filling the “diaper gap” a family may encounter in a month, Diaper Distribution Volunteers empower families with a hand-up to help them meet their family’s needs within their budget.
BE AN ADVOCATE
Mental Health Justice Representative
Represent patients in due process court hearings at acute psychiatric facilities to ensure their rights are upheld. Volunteers will be equipped with all the necessary tools and training.
Patient Advocacy Administrative Support
Provide administrative support for our Patient Advocacy program staff on-site at our Balboa campus.
SUPPORT PEOPLE EXPERIENCING HOMELESSNESS
The Safe Parking Program offers a pathway out of homelessness and a return to stable housing. Every night, we provide safety, security, and support for unsheltered San Diegans living out of their vehicles, many of whom are experiencing homelessness for the first time.
SUPPORT YOUNG PARENTS
Parent Corps Volunteer
The Adolescent Family Life Program (AFLP) addresses the social, health, educational and economic challenges of adolescent pregnancy. AFLP supports expectant and parenting youth in building their strengths and skills and linking them services and resources to promote healthy pregnancies, positive birth outcomes, improved health, and increased knowledge and skills related to positive parenting.
