Who We Are
Jewish Family Service strives in making San Diego a safe and welcoming place for those who seek a better and safer life, free from violence and persecution. By working together, we can offer essential services and compassion to those who are in desperate need of security during difficult times. Currently our work is centered around providing free, short-term legal services to non-citizens in need of legal representation.
What We Do
Jewish Family Service of San Diego (JFSSD) and a partner organization are expanding their focus on immigration legal support and education through the formation of the Immigration Legal Services Coalition of San Diego (ILSC). The coalition will offer free, short-term legal services to non-citizens who are detained by immigration authorities or at risk of immigration detention. JFS will also collaborate to build partnerships with other immigration legal service providers in San Diego, strengthening the impact of the new coalition.
Immigration Legal Services
The Immigration Legal Services Program at Jewish Family Service provides quality, low-cost immigration services to refugees, asylees, lawful permanent residents (green card holders) and undocumented immigrants within the community.
