Visual Impairment Awareness Workshop

The Visual Impairment Awareness Workshop is a project that aims to raise awareness on vision impairment at JFS and in our community. Developed and hosted by one of our wonderful interns, the workshop aims to guide our agency in advancing resources, practices, and inclusion for those who are visually impaired. The purpose of this project is to increase cooperation between sighted and blind or low-vision individuals, enhance communication, promote acceptance of different abilities, provide JFS staff and volunteers with information on best practices and recommendations for assisting this population. Guest speakers from our community will share their wisdom, insight, and resources with us!
