Walk or Ride in the Parade
If you prefer riding in style, you can hop on our JFS On the Go bus following closely behind our enthusiastic marchers.
JFS Pride T-Shirts
But wait, there's more! Everyone, including friends and family, who pre-registers will receive a JFS Pride T-Shirt. Don't miss out on claiming yours! Shirts will be available for pick up at the front lobby of the Turk Family Center, 8804 Balboa Avenue on Thursday, July 13 from 9:00am-3:00pm. If you can’t make that time, your shirts will be available at the parade.
Getting There
Our On the Go bus will be departing early from the Joan & Irwin Jacobs Campus, around 7:30am, to reach the Hillcrest staging area. Let us know if you'd like to reserve a spot on the bus when you register, and we'll share the exact departure time as we get closer to the day. Remember, punctuality is key as the bus won't wait! Riding the bus is fun—we’ll decorate the bus, snack, and admire other parade participants.
The parade will start at the Hillcrest Pride Flag on University Avenue and Normal Street, continue west on University Avenue, turn south on Sixth Avenue, left onto Balboa Drive, and conclude at Laurel Street.
Of course, you can also choose to reach the parade site by car, bike, or Lyft/Uber. There is FREE parking at the Old Naval Hospital on Park Blvd and Presidents Way and a FREE shuttle service from the Naval Hospital to Essex and Richmond Street from 7:00am-3:00pm. The parade is 1.5 miles, remember to dress comfortably!
