The Curbside Food Distribution program allows JFS clients to make online grocery orders that they can pick up by appointment Tuesday through Friday afternoons at the Jacobs campus. Clients will drive back to the Food Warehouse to pick up their grocery orders.
Volunteer support is super helpful with our Curbside food
distribution. We are looking for volunteer
help in the afternoons when clients come to pick up
their groceries. Volunteers will report to the Food Warehouse for this opportunity and help
with the following tasks:
Volunteer Duties
- Stock the shelves with grocery orders so they're ready when clients come to pick up.
- Greet clients as they arrive for their grocery pickup appointment.
- Load food into clients’ cars.
- Stock/restock food orders in the pickup area if needed.
- Must be comfortable lifting and carrying up to
50 lbs.
Qualifications
- Must be 15 years or older
- Sign volunteer waiver
- Some customer service experience is a plus
