The Community Need
Professional child care providers play a vital role in supporting children, families, and the broader community. Their work requires long hours, emotional resilience, and constant attention to the developmental needs of young children. Many providers experience high levels of stress, burnout, and limited access to wellness resources. This is why Children First Collective is hosting a Child Care Provider Appreciation and Wellness Event.
How Volunteers Can Help
Many professional child care providers have their own children, and face struggles to find child care for their own children. Volunteers will make a meaningful impact by providing safe, attentive on-site child care that allows child care providers to fully participate in the appreciation and wellness event without worry or distraction. By removing barriers to attendance, volunteers help create space for providers to rest, recharge, and feel valued. This support not only increases event accessibility and attendance but also demonstrates a commitment to valuing and uplifting those who care for our youngest learners. A JFS staff member will be available for support at all times and parents will be accessible if needed.
