Time Commitment:
- Both staff and volunteers invest a good amount of time with training and onboarding duties for this opportunity. To make it worth everyone's time, we'd love it if volunteers could help for at least a few months' time on an ongoing basis.
- Volunteers must provide 24 hours’ notice of cancellation if they are unable to make a scheduled shift. Missing three shifts without appropriate notice could result in an indefinite hold on volunteer service with the JFS Migrant Shelter. This is because Shelter staff relies on volunteers to welcome guests and provide quality services to guests while they are in our care.
